Frame (PSP 7, 8 & 9 ) A tutorial by Mar ©

What you need: PSP. Download a 30 day trial
here. The materials:
Download here. Open all images from the ZIP in PSP. The
Ormente filter: Download
here. Create a folder Ormente in your plugins folder in PSP
and extract all 3 Zip's in it. Close end restart PSP
otherwise your filter won't work.
Save
often. Let's go. Good
luck.....
Open the MD-Roses.jpg in
PSP. Shift D to duplicate. Close the original.
Image > Add borders > 2
Pixels > Symmetric > Color yellow.
Select (feather
0 - tolerance 20) the yellow border.
First we have to set our filling
tool.
Foreground to black and background
to #aa0c05. Put your background to gradient. Look for the
Foreground-background gradient.
Now put your foreground to pattern
and look for the MD-Gold-2.
Your menu looks like this:

Fill the selection with the
gold.
Effects > 3D effects > Drop
shadow > Color black.

Again drop shadow but this time
Vert. and Horiz. to - 2.
Image > Add borders > 20
Pixels > Symmetric > Color yellow.
Select (feather
0 - tolerance 20) the yellow border.
Fill your selection with your right
mouse button (the gradient).
Effects > Plugins > Ormente's
Filters > Miropads.


Image > Add borders > 2
Pixels > Symmetric > Color yellow.
Select the yellow
border.
Fill your selection with the gold
pattern.
Repeat drop shadow at 2 and -
2.
Image > Add borders > 30
Pixels > Symmetric > Color yellow.
Select the yellow border and
fill with the gradient.
Effects > Texture effects >
Mosaic tiles > Hexagon > Red #ff0000.
Image > Add borders > 2
Pixels > Symmetric > Color yellow.
Select the yellow
border.
Fill your selection with the gold
pattern.
Repeat drop shadow at 2 and -
2.
Image > Add borders > 20
Pixels > Symmetric > Color yellow.
Select the yellow
border.
Fill the selection with your right
mouse button (the gradient).
Repeat the Ormente's Filters >
Miropads like before.
Image > Add borders > 2
Pixels > Symmetric > Color yellow.
Select the yellow
border.
Fill your selection with the gold
pattern.
Repeat drop shadow at 2 and -
2.
Open the MD-WR-corner.psp and
copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new
layer.
Move the
corner on the middle border (see screenshot).

Layers > Duplicate. Image
> Mirror. Layers > Duplicate. Image > Flip. Layers
> Duplicate. Image > Mirror.
I reduced the size of my frame with
89%.
Image > Change size > 89%
> All layers checked. The new size will be 415 X 450.
Layers > Merge > Merge all
layers flatten.
If you like you can add a gold
text. I added two nice fonts in the ZIP.
Your Warm Red Frame is done. I
