This tutorial was written using PSP 9, but can be done in other versions
~ You will need ~
*** The chain I used is by Dozi. You can download it here (2nd from the top) ***
*** The bottle cap I used is by Dozi. You can download it here (2nd line from the top, first set) ***
Paint Shop Pro, a 30 day trial can be downloaded here
My supplies here. The zip includes the tubes, mask and font
Put ivy_ivywall.jpg into your Masks Folder
Double click to open the font "Sunflower 4" and minimize it on your desktop
Open the tubes in PSP and minimize them all
File, New
Set Width to 431px and Height to 372px, Transparent background
Set Foreground color to #9C9A8D
Set Background color to #BFBDB0
Fill layer with Foreground Color
Layers, New Raster Layer
Set Foreground to Gradient and use these settings:
#3 Fading Background
Style Linear, Angle 90, Repeats 0, Invert Unchecked
Fill layer with gradient
Effects, Distortion Effects, Twirl and set Degrees to 360
Repeat 3 more times
Copy AutumnBeauty_MistedByGini_09-28-05.tub and paste as new layer
Resize 60 % (Bicubic, Resize all layers Unchecked)
Move the face into the top left corner
Adjust, Hue and Saturation, Colorize and use these settings:
Hue 0, Saturation 0
Change the Blend Mode to Soft Light
Copy flowerglass.pspimage and paste as new layer
Move the glass on the right side
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal -3, Opacity 20, Blur 15 and Color Black
Right click on top layer, Merge, Merge Visible
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask From Disk
Find ivy_ivywall and use these settings:
Orientation: Fit to layer, Source luminane Checked, Invert Uncheck, Hide all mask Checked
Right click on Group-Merged layer, Merge, Merge Group
Layers, New Layer Raster
Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom
Set Foreground color to #736853
Fill layer with Foreground color
Click back on top layer
Change Blend Mode to Dodge
Copy flowerglass.pspimage once again and paste as new layer
Move the glass on top of the other one
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal -3, Opacity 20, Blur 15, Color Black and Shadow on new layer Checked
Change Blend Mode to Soft Light for both layers
Copy tag.pspimage and paste as new layer
Position the tag into the bottom left corner
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal -3, Opacity 20, Blur 15 and Color Black
Change the Blend Mode to Luminance (Legacy)
Maximize a-dozi's-gemstone'chain-02.psp
Copy Merged layer and paste as new layer into your canvas
Resize 60% (Bicubic, Resize all layers Unchecked)
Adjust, Sharpness, Sharpen
Position the chain so the tag is in the middle of the chain (look at my image for placement)
Using Freehand Selection Tool set Point to Point, delete the part that overlaps the mask on the right
Set your Foreground to NULL and Background to #736853
Click on the Text Tool and use these settings:
Type your name
Position it in the middle of the tag
Selections, From Vector Object
In the layer palette right click on your text layer and convert to a raster layer
Layers, New Raster Layer
Effects, 3D Effects, Cutout and use these settings:
Offset Vertical and Horizontal 1, Opacity 100, Blur 4, Color Black, Fill interior Unchecked
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal 1, Opacity 60, Blur 1 and Color White
Selections, Select None
Copy GPMS_121205_wordart.pspimage and paste as new layer
Resize 39% (Bicubic, Resize all layers Unchecked)
Lock Transparency
Set Foreground color to #9C9A8D
Fill with Foreground Color
Lock Transparency
Change the Blend Mode to Dodge
Move the words into the top right corner
Maximize a-dozi's-bcaps-flowers-01.psp
Select the top cap, copy and paste as new layer into your canvas
Resize 10% (Bicubic, Resize all layers Unchecked)
Change the Blend Mode to Luminance (Legacy)
Position the cap at the bottom, on top of the chain (look at my image for placement)
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal -2, Opacity 30, Blur 5 and Color Black
Duplicate the cap 2 times and position them side by side
Image, Canvas Size and use these settings:
Width: 441, Height: 382, Placement center (5 all around)
Layers, New Raster Layer
Selections, Select All
Selections, Modify, Contract 5
Selections, Invert
Set Foreground color to #B2A68B
Fill the selection with Foreground color
Selections, Select None
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
