This tutorial was created in 2006 Any resemblance to other online tutorials is purely coincidence ŠN@thy 2007 This tutorial was written using PSP 9, but can be done in other versions ~ You will need ~ The picture I used is by Bez Boardman. You can find her awesome artwork at Bez Boardman's Gallery Paint Shop Pro, a 30 day trial can be downloaded here My supplies here. The zip includes the image and the mask Put the mask in your mask folder Open your picture in psp, duplicate and minimize one copy for later use ~ Step 1 ~ Adjust, Brightness and Contrast, Brightness and Contrast and use the following settings: Brightness: -80, Contrast: 0 Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tiling and use the following settings: ![]() Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur and set the Radius to 5 ~ Step 2 ~ Effects, Texture Effects, Mosaic - Antique and use the following settings: ![]() Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tiling and use the same settings as before Minimize for later use ~ Step 3 ~ Activate your other image we duplicated earlier Layers, Promote Background Layer Edit, Copy Layers, Duplicate Hide both layers and add a new one Activate your Selection Tool Click on Custom Selection and use the following settings: Left: 340 , Top: 0, Right: 350, Bottom: 450 Edit, Paste, Paste into Selection Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur and set the Radius to 5 Selections, Select None ~ Step 4 ~ Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel and use the following settings: ![]() Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use the following settings: ![]() ~ Step 5 ~ Activate Raster Deform Tool Move your mouse until the white double-headed arrow appears Once you see it left click on your mouse, hold and drag it past the top of the image This will extend the border out past the strip getting rid of any seams Do the same thing on the bottom ~ Step 6 ~ Unhide bottom layer and make sure its the active layer Adjust, Brightness and Contrast, Brightness and Contrast and use the following settings: Brightness: 100, Contrast: 0 Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur and set the Radius to 5 Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tiling and use the following settings: ![]() ~ Step 7 ~ Unhide middle layer and make sure its the active layer Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask for Disk Find Prism9 mask and use the following settings: ![]() Layers, Merge, Merge Group ~ Step 8 ~ Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use the following settings: ![]() Repeat Drop Shadow but change Vertical and Horizontal to -5 Repeat Drop Shadow once again but use the following settings: ![]() Move it slightly to the left so it looks more centered Layers, Merge, Merge Visible ~ Step 9 ~ Image, Canvas Size Change the Width to 1024 (Height stays the same 450) Placement Right: 674 Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use the following settings: Make sure Shadow on new layer IS checked! ![]() Repeat step 5 Layers, Merge, Merge Visible ~ Step 10 ~ Layers, New Raster Layer Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom Set your foreground to pattern and find the background we made earlier Fill the layer with the pattern Layers, Properties and change the Opacity to 50 Layers, Merge, Merge All Flatten Save your work as jpg Add your watermark and your tag is finished.
