Because the Summer Dream has
so many
possibilities, I have included 3 different masks and a few images for you. Instead of
the gold, you can use silver or any other color.
Open the image and the mask you want to
use. We will start with the image.
Add borders > 10 Pixels > Red
(or another bright color). I used red because that
color is not in my image. It's always better to
use a bright color. Makes the selecting easier.
Select the
red border (feather 0).
Open the gold pattern in
PSP. Foreground to pattern and look for the gold:
Fill your border.
Effects > 3D-effects > Inner
bevel > Color #D3D0C8.
Effects > 3D-effects > Drop
shadow
Repeat but Horiz. and
Vert. at - 4.
Selections > None.
Make your image small for now.
Don't close, you'll need it later.
Open a new image 300 X 400. Fill
with black.
Layers > New layer. Fill with
the gold pattern.
Layers > New mask layer >
From image.
Search for your Summer masks and
click OK.
Layers > Merge > Merge
group.
Make sure you selected the bottom
layer (=bleu).
Select the
inner part but keep it a bit smaller like in the sample below so you will get a little black
border.
Copy the image you
prepared.
Still at the bottom layer: Edit > Paste > Paste
into selection.
Selections > None.
Go back to the top layer
(=blue).
Give your mask a drop shadow.
PSP still has H. and V. at - 4. Apply.
Add borders > 10 Pixels > Red
(or another bright color).
Select the
red border (feather 0). Fill with the gold.
Repeat the inner bevel as
before.
Repeat the drop shadow at 4 and -
4.
Selections > None.
It depends on your image and the
fill you used, if you want to sharpen once. See what you like
best. I didn't.
Open a nice font. I used
ChaseCallasSH. Download
here.
Type the text "Summer" or any other
text. In PSP 7 convert to raster. Give the text a drop shadow
at 4. In PSP 8: Confirm converting to
raster. Type a second text if you
like. I used "Dream". Convert to raster and apply a drop
shadow.
Layers > Merge all
flatten.
Your Summer Dream Frame is done.
