This tutorial was written using PSP 9, but can be done in other versions

~ You will need ~

The metal badge I used is by Dozi. You can download it here (second set from top)

The artwork I used is İCris Ortega www.crisortega.com
Paint Shop Pro, a 30 day trial can be downloaded here
My supplies here. The zip includes the tubes, patterns and font
Double click to open the font "Annabelle JF" and minimize it on your desktop
Open everything in PSP and minimize them all

Maximize nathy_bg2.jpg
Layers, Promote Background Layer
Copy TearWhite.pspimage and paste as new layer on your working area
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical 3, Horizontal 0, Opacity 30, Blur 5 and Color Black
Repeat Drop Shadow but change Vertical to -3

Copy Tear.pspimage and paste as new layer on your working area
Set your Foreground to pattern
Find nathy_bg1.jpg, Angle 0, Scale 75
In your Layers palette, lock transparency

  

Select Flood Fill Tool with these settings:
Match Mode: None, Sample merged Unchecked, Blend Mode: Normal, Opacity: 100
Fill the layer with your pattern
Lock transparency

  

Copy Kat_misted_wellofdesire.pspimage and paste as new layer
Move the lady down so it is centered between the tear up
Duplicate this layer
Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Duplicate one again
Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Move this layer down into the palette so it is under the TearWhite layer

Copy hook.pspimage and paste as new layer
Layers, Arrange, Bring to Top
Move the hook down into the left bottom corner so it looks like its holding the tearup and the background
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal 1, Opacity 30, Blur 2 and Color Black
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal 2, Opacity 30, Blur 5 and Color Black
Duplicate and move the hook into the top right corner

Copy ge-tag.psp and paste as new layer
Adjust, Colorize and use these settings:
Hue: 17, Saturation: 51
Resize 90 % (Bicubic, Resize all layers Unchecked)
Move the tag into the top left corner

Maximize a-dozi's-metal-badges-02.psp
Using Selection Tool, select the Love metal badge
Copy and paste as new layer into your working area
Adjust, Colorize and use the same settings as before
Adjust, Brightness and Contrast, Gamma Correction and use these settings:
Link Checked, Red Green Blue set to 0.7
Adjust, Brightness and Contrast, Brightness/Contrast and use these settings:
Brightness: -20, Contrast: 0

Image, Rotate, Free Rotate and use these settings:
Direction: Left, Degrees: 90, All other options Unchecked
Resize 90 % (Bicubic, Resize all layers Unchecked)
Repeat this step 7 more times (the reason to keep resizing at 90 % is to keep a better definition)
Move the metal badge into the center of the tag
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal 1, Opacity 100, Blur 2 and Color Black
Repeat Drop Shadow but change Vertical to -1

Copy s239t2.pspimage and paste as new layer
Move it on top of the tag so it looks like its part of it
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal 2, Opacity 30, Blur 5 and Color Black

Copy staple.pspimage and paste as new layer
Move the staple over the tag's ribbon (look at my image)

Copy Element_RibbonAccent1.pspimage and paste as new layer
Adjust, Colorize and use the same settings as before
Image, Mirror
Image, Flip
Resize 90 % (Bicubic, Resize all layers Unchecked)
Repeat this step 3 more times
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal 2, Opacity 30, Blur 5 and Color Black
Move the ribbon into the bottom right corner

Copy Bead nothing - sm.pspimage and paste as new layer
Resize 90 % (Bicubic, Resize all layers Unchecked)
Adjust, Colorize and use the same settings as before
Adjust, Brightness and Contrast, Gamma Correction and use the same settings as before
Move the bead into the center of the ribbon's metal ring

Click on the Text Tool and use these settings:



Set your Foreground to NULL and Background to #F4EBE4
Type: Thinking of you... or whatever you'd like
Image, Rotate, Free Rotate and use these settings:
Direction: Left, Degrees: 90, All other options Unchecked
Selections, From Vector Object
Layers, Convert to Raster Layer

Layers, New Raster Layer
Effects, 3D Effects, Cutout and use these settings:



Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal 1, Opacity 60, Blur 1 and Color White
Selections, Select None
Change the Opacity of this layer to 70

Click on the Text Tool once again using the same settings as before
Set your Foreground to NULL and Background to #DFC9B7
Type your name In the layer palette right click on your text layer and convert to a raster layer
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal 1, Opacity 50, Blur 1 and Color Black
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal 2, Opacity 30, Blur 5 and Color Black
Position it at the bottom of the tag (look at my image)
Layers, Merge, Merge All (Flatten)

Image, Add Borders and use these settings:
Symmetric Checked, 5 pixels all around, color #6D5647
Copy s217t2.pspimage and paste as new layer
Layers, Merge, Merge All (Flatten)

Add your watermark and the artist info (İCris Ortega www.crisortega.com)
