This tutorial was written using PSP 9, but can be done in other versions

~ You will need ~

The torn paper and stitches I used are by Melissa. You can find her awesome work @ Scrappy Expressions
The little girl tube I used is by Monique. You can find her beautiful tubes here
Paint Shop Pro, a 30 day trial can be downloaded here
Brush Strokes (Sprayed Strokes), you can download here
Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact (Bevel), you can download here
My supplies here. The zips include the tubes and fonts

Open the tubes in psp
Tubes have HIDDEN layers which mean you must unhide to see them
Minimize them all
Double click to open the font "Academy-Engraved-LET-Regular" and minimize it on your desktop
Double click to open the font "AbrazoScriptSSK-Regular" and minimize it on your desktop
Double click to open the font "Agatha-Regular" and minimize it on your desktop

~ Step 1 ~

File, New
Width: 500, Height: 465, Transparent Background
Maximize Tubed_by_monique42_2996.psp
Hide Laag 3
Edit, Copy Merged
Back to our working area
Selections, Select All
Edit, Paste Into Selection
Selections, Select None
Adjust, Hue and Saturation, Colorize and use these settings:
Hue: 0, Saturation: 0

~ Step 2 ~

Back to Tubed_by_monique42_2996.psp
Copy Laag 1 and paste as new layer into your canvas
Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tiling and use these settings:



Effects, Plugins, Brush Strokes, Sprayed Strokes and use these settings:



Repeat Sprayed Strokes once again
Change the Blend Mode to Hard Light

~ Step 3 ~

Maximize mds4588 Nature.pspimage
Copy Raster 2 and paste as new layer into your canvas
Activate your Raster Deform Tool
Stretch the image so it covers all the area
Change the Blend Mode to Saturation
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
Effects, Plugins, Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact, Bevel and use these settings:







Image, Resize and use these settings:
80 Percent, Resample using Bicubic, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers Unchecked

~ Step 4 ~

Image, Canvas Size and use these settings:
Width: 650, Height: 500, Placement Center
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:



Adjust, Brightness and Contrast, Clarify and use this setting:
Strength of effect: 5
Repeat Clarify once again

~ Step 5 ~

Duplicate this layer
Move it up and to the left (look at my image for placement)
Move this layer down into the Layers Palette
Duplicate this layer
Move it down and to the right (look at my image for placement)
Duplicate this layer
Image, Rotate, Free Rotate and use these settings:
Direction: Right, Degrees: 15, other options unchecked
Move it up and to the left (look at my image for placement)
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible

~ Step 6 ~

Layers, New Raster Layer
Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom
Fill this layer with White
Copy brushes.pspimage and paste as new layer into your working area
Maximize SE_TornPaper_1.pspimage and copy the torn paper you wish to use
I used the one the second layer
Paste as new layer
Layers, Arrange, Bring to Top (so we can see what we are doing)
Move the torn paper to the left side of the block of images
Layers, Arrange, Move down
Layers, Duplicate
Image, Flip
Image, Mirror
Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:



~ Step 7 ~

Maximize SE_Basics.pspimage
Using the Selection Tool, select the stitches
Paste as new layer into your working area
Layers, Arrange, Bring to Top
Move them down at the bottom of the images (look at my image for placement)
Using the Freehand Tool set to Point to point, select the stitches we dont need on the right side
I kept 14 stitches



Layers, Duplicate
Move the stitches at the top of the images

~ Step 8 ~

Maximize BlueNoteStringAndRivets_gh.psp
Edit, Copy Merged and paste as new layer into your working area
Image, Resize and use these settings:
50 Percent, Resample using Bicubic, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers Unchecked
Move the string into the bottom right corner of the images
Adjust, Hue and Saturation, Colorize and use these settings:
Hue: 24, Saturation: 48
Layers, Duplicate
Image, Mirror
Image, Flip
Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use the same settings as in step 4

~ Step 9 ~

Maximize ivy_stamp_template.psp
Copy Layer2 and paste as new layer into your canvas
Activate your Magic Wand Tool and use these settings:
Mode: Add (Shift), Match Mode: RGB Value, Tolerance: 20, Contiguous Checked, Anti-alias checked Outside
Select the grey shadows of the stamps
Hit delete once on your keyboard
Selections, Select None
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:



~ Step 10 ~

Activate your Magic Wand Tool once again using the same settings as before
Select inside the 3 stamps (the grey part)
Maximize Tubed_by_monique42_2996.psp
Edit, Copy Merged (Laag 3 layer should be hidden still)
Paste as new layer into your working area
Move the image so the little girl's face and the moon fit nicely into the stamps
Selections, Invert
Hit delete once on your keyboard
Selections, Select None
Adjust, Brightness and Contrast, Clarify and use this setting:
Strength of effect: 5
Repeat Clarify once again

~ Step 11 ~

Copy michellestag_beautiful.pspimage and paste as new layer
Move the word into the first stamp (top one)
Position it to the right side of the stamp
Change the Blend Mode to Screen

~ Step 12 ~

Activate the Text tool and use the following settings:





Set your Foreground color to NULL
Set your Background color to #000000
Type Water
Image, Rotate, Free Rotate and use these settings:
Direction: Right, Degrees: 15, other options unchecked
Position the text inside the 2nd stamp
Layers, Convert to Raster Layer
Change the Blend Mode to Overlay
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and these settings:
Make sure Shadow on new layer IS checked!



~ Step 13 ~

Activate the Text tool and use the following settings:





Set your Foreground color to NULL
Set your Background color to #000000
Type Swing but verticaly (hit enter between each letter)
Image, Rotate, Free Rotate and use these settings:
Direction: Left, Degrees: 18, other options unchecked
Position the text inside the 3rd stamp
Layers, Convert to Raster Layer
Change the Blend Mode to Overlay
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and the same settings as before
Make sure Shadow on new layer IS checked!

~ Step 14 ~

Activate the Text tool and use the following settings:





Set your Foreground color to NULL
Set your Background color to #000000
Type your name
Position your name in the bottom left corner of the images
Layers, Convert to Raster Layer
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and the same settings as before
Layers, Merge All (Flatten)
Add your watermark, resize if you'd like and save your work as jpg
