This tutorial was written using PSP 9, but can be done in other versions

~ You will need ~
The snow I used is by Stephanie Shimerdla. You can find her awesome work @ Obsidian Dawn
Paint Shop Pro, a 30 day trial can be downloaded here
My supplies here. The zip includes tubes and fonts

Open tubes in psp
Tubes have HIDDEN layers which mean you must unhide to see them
Minimize them all
Double click to open the font "Senator" and minimize it on your desktop
Double click to open the font "Backlash" and minimize it on your desktop

Set your foreground color to White (#FFFFFF)
Set your background color to #707111

~ Step 1 ~

File, New
Width 750 and Height 550 with transparent background
Fill this layer with White (#FFFFFF)
Layers, New Raster Layer
Set your Foreground to pattern, find SS-snow_17.png and use these settings:
Angle: 40, Scale: 40
Activate your Selection Tool, click on Custom Selection and use these settings:
Left: 75, Top: 75, Right: 675, Bottom: 475
Selections, Invert
Fill the selection with the pattern

Selections, Invert
Layers, New Raster Layer
Maximize Christmas13Nov07Bnll.pspimage
Hide the credit layer and copy merged
Edit, Paste, Paste Into Selection
Selections, Modify, Contract 1
Hit delete on your keyboard

~ Step 3 ~

Selections, Modify, Contract 2
Edit, Paste, Paste Into Selection
Selections, Modify, Contract 1
Hit delete on your keyboard
Selections, Modify, Contract 2
Edit, Paste, Paste Into Selection
Selections, Modify, Contract 1
Hit delete on your keyboard
~ Step 4 ~

Selections, Modify, Contract 12
Edit, Paste As New Layer
Move the image up a bit
Selections, Invert
Hit delete on your keyboard
Selections, Select None
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical: 5, Horizontal: 5, Opacity: 80, Blur: 20, Color: #000000

~ Step 5 ~

Activate the Text tool and use the following settings:



Set your Foreground color to NULL and your Background color should be #707111
Type "Naughty or Nice?" without the quotes
Move the text at the top and move it a little bit to the right
Right click on Vector 1 then Convert to Raster Layer
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical: 1, Horizontal: 1, Opacity: 50, Blur: 1, Color: #707111

~ Step 6 ~

Copy nathy_voile.png and paste as new layer
Move it all the way to the left
(You might have to hide the white layer and zoom in to make sure its right)
Copy nathy_eyelet_green.png and paste as new layer
Image, Resize and use these settings:
19 Percent, Resample using Smart Size, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers Unchecked
Image, Rotate, Free Rotate and use these settings:
Direction: Left, Degrees: 90, all other options Unchecked
Position in the top left corner
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical: 2, Horizontal: 2, Opacity: 50, Blur: 5, Color: #000000
Duplicate twice and move them below the first one

~ Step 7 ~

Copy jet-woman34-november-2007.pspimage and paste as new layer
Move the lady to the right
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use the same settings as before

~ Step 8 ~

Activate the Text tool and use the following settings:



Set your Foreground color to NULL and your Background color should be #707111
Type your name
Position your name at the bottom of the frame
Layers, Convert to Raster Layer
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical: 1, Horizontal: 1, Opacity: 50, Blur: 1, Color: #707111

~ Step 9 ~

Layers, New Raster Layer
Selections, Select All
Selections, Modidy, Contract 2
Selections, Invert
Set your Foreground to #707111
Fill the selection
Selections, Select None
Layers, Merge All (Flatten)
Add your watermark, resize if you'd like and save your work as jpg
