2007 Any resemblance to other online tutorials is purely coincidence ŠN@thy 2007 This tutorial was written using PSP 9, but can be done in other versions ~ You will need ~ The brush I used is by Mistral @ www.kloud-nine.com. You can download it here Scroll down till you see 085 Marker Blinds and download the psp 8 version The snowflake I used is by Melissa. You can find her awesome work @ Scrappy Expressions Paint Shop Pro, a 30 day trial can be downloaded here My supplies here. The zip includes tubes and fonts Open tubes in psp Tubes have HIDDEN layers which mean you must unhide to see them Minimize them all Double click to open the font "Artists Script" and minimize it on your desktop Double click to open the font "Arrus BT" and minimize it on your desktop Double click to open the font "ARSTemper" and minimize it on your desktop Set your foreground color to #DFD2AD Set your background color to #7F5B31 ~ Step 1 ~ Maximize nathy_vintage_frame_1.png, duplicate and close the original Copy nathy_vintage_frame_2.png and paste as new layer Copy JC_VictorianSanta.pspimage and paste as new layer Image, Resize and use these settings: 120 Percent, Resample using Smart Size, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers Unchecked Move Santa a little bit up into the small frame ~ Step 2 ~ Activate the small frame's layer (should be Raster 2) Selections, Select All Selections, Float Selections, Defloat Selections, Modify, Contract 10 Selections, Invert Activate Santa's layer Hit delete once on your keyboard Selections, Select None Layers, Merge, Merge Visible ~ Step 3 ~ Copy nathy_vintage_bead.png and paste as new layer Move the bead at the top in between the 2 frames Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings: Vertical: 1, Horizontal: 1, Opacity: 80, Blur: 5, Color: #000000 Layers, Merge, Merge Visible Minimize for now ~ Step 4 ~ Maximize nathy_foldedtearred_red.png, duplicate and close the original Activate your Raster Deform Tool and use these settings: Set the Mode to Scale Set Position X to 156 then set Scale X(%) to 64.76 ![]() Adjust, Hue and Saturation, Colorize and use these settings: Hue: 23, Saturation: 113 ~ Step 5 ~ Image, Canvas Size Width and Height set to 960 Placement will be Top: 51, Bottom: 12, Left: 34, Right: 35 Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings: Vertical: 5, Horizontal: 5, Opacity: 80, Blur: 10, Color: #000000 Copy the Santa frame we made earlier (you can close this we wont need it anymore) Paste as new layer Image, Rotate, Free Rotate and use these settings: Direction: Left, Degrees: 10, all other options Unchecked Move the frame up a little bit and to the left (look at my image for placement) Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings: Vertical: 10, Horizontal: 10, Opacity: 45, Blur: 10, Color: #000000 ~ Step 6 ~ Activate the Text tool and use the following settings: ![]() Foreground set to Null Background should be set to #7F5B31 already Type Christmas Position at the bottom of the frame Layers, Convert to Raster Layer Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings: Vertical: 1, Horizontal: 1, Opacity: 100, Blur: 1, Color: #000000 ~ Step 7 ~ Activate the Text tool once again and use the following settings: ![]() Switch your Foreground and Background color Type Merry Image, Rotate, Free Rotate and use these settings: Direction: Left, Degrees: 30, all other options Unchecked Position at the bottom of the frame on top of Christmas Layers, Convert to Raster Layer Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings: Vertical: 1, Horizontal: 1, Opacity: 100, Blur: 1, Color: #000000 ~ Step 8 ~ Copy KaraT4702.psp and paste as new layer Adjust, Hue and Saturation, Colorize and use these settings: Hue: 23, Saturation: 113 Image, Resize and use these settings: 80 Percent, Resample using Smart Size, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers Unchecked Move the bow into the top right corner Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings: Vertical: 5, Horizontal: 5, Opacity: 50, Blur: 5, Color: #000000 ~ Step 9 ~ Copy SE_Charm_Snowflake_2.pspimage and paste as new layer Adjust, Hue and Saturation, Colorize and use these settings: Hue: 23, Saturation: 113 Image, Resize and use these settings: 70 Percent, Resample using Smart Size, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers Unchecked Move the snowflake on top of the bow, position it in the middle Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings: Vertical: 5, Horizontal: 5, Opacity: 50, Blur: 5, Color: #000000 ~ Step 10 ~ Copy nathy_vintage_bead.png and paste as new layer Image, Resize and use these settings: 70 Percent, Resample using Smart Size, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers Unchecked Move the bead over the snowflake's eyelet so its holding it ~ Step 11 ~ Activate your Paint Brush Tool Find www.kloud-nine.com - markerblinds1 and use these settings: ![]() Switch your Foreground and Background color Layers, New Raster Layer Paint, using your foreground color, a line from left to right Paint as many time as you'd like so its rather a thick line Move this layer down so its underneath Santa's frame ~ Step 12 ~ Activate the top layer Activate the Text tool and use the following settings: ![]() Foreground set to Null Background should be set to #7F5B31 already Type your name Position your name at the bottom of the frame and a little bit to the right Layers, Convert to Raster Layer Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings: Vertical: 1, Horizontal: 1, Opacity: 80, Blur: 1, Color: #000000 Move this layer down so its underneath Santa's frame ~ Step 13 ~ Activate the top layer Maximize pine cones.png Select the pine cone you'd like to use and paste into your working area Image, Resize and use these settings: 80 Percent, Resample using Smart Size, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers Unchecked Move it beside your name Copy another pine cone and paste it, resize this one as well Position it beside your name Layers, Merge, Merge Visible ~ Step 14 ~ Crop your image using the Crop Tool Layers, Merge All (Flatten) Add your watermark, resize if you'd like and save your work as jpg Your tag is finished.
