Port Frame
(PSP all versions - no filters)

What you need:
Corel PSP. Download a 30 day trial here.
Materials:
Download here.
Open all images from the ZIP in PSP.

Save often.
Let's
get started. Good luck.....

1. This tutorial is done in PSP 9.
Open one of the three (3) "Port Patterns".
Shift-D to duplicate.
Put aside for now (minimize), you'll need it later.

2. Selections > Select all.
Selections > Modify > Contract with 25 pixels.
Selections > Invert.

3. Effects > 3D-effects > Inner bevel > Color white.

4. Effects > 3D-effects > Drop shadow > Black.

Repeat the drop shadow but this time Vert. and Horiz. at - 3.

5. Selections > Invert.
Selections > Modify > Contract with 25 pixels.

6. Now go back to the image you put aside and copy.
Back to your frame........

Edit > Paste > Paste into selection.
Repeat the inner bevel.
Repeat the drop shadow at 3 and at - 3.

If all went well you now have this:

7. Selections > Modify > Contract with 25 pixels.
Background to #9a7782.
In your frame click "Delete".

If all went well you now have this:

8. Effects > Texture effects > Blinds > Color #431e2c.

Selections > None.

9. Layers > Duplicate.
Effects > Reflection effects > Kaleidoscope.

10. Set your selection tool to circle (feather to 2).

Begin in the heart of the kaleidoscope pattern and pull a
circle until you are outside  the bevel. (See screenshot).

11. Selections > Invert.  Click "Delete".
Selections > None.

12. With the same selection tool, again begin in the heart.
This time pull a selection until the bevel.
Look at the screenshot below.

Click "Delete".
If all went well you only have the ring left.

Layers > Merge > Merge all flatten.

13. Open the MD-PortTress.psp and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.

14. With move as on the screenshot below.

Layers > Duplicate.
Image > Flip.

15. Layers > Duplicate.
Image > Rotate > Free rotation > 90 Degrees left.
All layers unchecked.

Move to the left

16. With your lasso tool select a triangle at the corners.
Start at the inside. Take a look at the screenshot.
For the second selection on the opposite
corner you need to hold your Shift key down.

Click "Delete".
Selections > None.

17. Layers > Duplicate.
Image > Mirror.

18. Lock your background for now.
Layers > Merge > Merge visible layers.
Repeat the drop shadow at 3 and at - 3.

19. Unlock your background.
Open one of the flowers from the ZIP
(or use your own) and copy.

Go back to your frame.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
It is in the middle. Leave it there.

20. Open the MD-Port-corner.psp and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.

21. Move the corner like on the screenshot below.

Repeat the drop shadow at 3.
Layers > Duplicate.
Image > Mirror.

22. Lock you background for now.
Layers > Merge > Merge visible layers.
Layers > Duplicate.
Image > Flip.

23. Unlock your background.
Layers > Merge > Merge all flatten.

Your Port Frame is done.
