For this tutorial you will need the following supplies;

Paint Shop Pro (This tut done in version 8 but easily adapted for other versions.) trial version available here

My Mask here

EyeCandy 4000

A tube and font of your choice ~ I used the artwork of Caron Vinson for the examples in this tut. Please visit her website here

Open a new image 500 x 500 and floodfill with white.
Copy your tube and paste as a new layer.

Resize by 65% and position it centrally on the canvas. Go to Effects > Plug ins > Eye Candy 4000 > Corona.

Select a nice bright colour from your tube with the colour picker in corona and apply with the following settings;

Re-apply Corona with the same settings but change the colour in the colour picker to white.

Re-apply once again and change the colour to a darker one from your tube.

Re-apply once more using the same colour as you did the first time.

Finally apply Corona one more time using a darker colour from your tube.

The idea is to build up the flare background with lots of contrasting complimenting colours. Go nuts!

Once you have done with your corona go to Layers > Load / Save Mask > Load mask from Disk.
Locate my mask Sweetmask15 in the dropdown box and apply with these settings;

Delete the mask layer in the layer palette and say yes to the pop up box.

Image > Resize.
Resize by 75% with bicubic resample all layers unchecked.

Move the merged layer up towards the top right of your canvas.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer. Position it so that it covers the part of the tube that shows on the corona layer. Resize as necessary.

Apply the following drop shadow;

Select a scripty font I used Gwendolyn.
Set your text to Vector and use a dark colour from your tube.
Apply the first line of the quote you would like to use.

Rotate to the left by 90 degrees with rotate single layer around canvas checked and position along the left side of the box.
Convert to raster layer.

Now apply the second part of the quote along the top of the box.
Add your © info.

Finally add your name. I used the same text as the quote but selected a light colour from the tube for the background and set the darker colour I used for the quote to the foreground.
Apply as a vector with a line width of 1.
Pull the nodes on the vector text to get your name to fit to where you put it and convert to a raster layer.

I added the following inner bevel;

And then added the same drop shadow as we used on the tube.

Crop off any excess white and resize to suit your taste.
A nice simple little tag but with a really effective look!
